A Fresh Start
To make this an active blog, I am committing to entering a contribution every Sunday evening. The nature of my entries will be documenting the trials and joys of writing, promoting and selling my work. That could include sharing excerpts from my work. At times when I have completed a piece of work I'm so in love with it that I can't wait to share it. For my next blog, I plan to share my latest poem, Tentative Stepping. It describes what I went through to come to the stage where I am willing to commit to blogging. However, it could fit for anyone considering any challenge.
Being an "infant writer" means I still have a lot to learn. Obviously one of those areas is to be a good blogger.
A second area that I look forward to in 2015 is to create audio material. Many people have encouraged me to record my work. Recently I have found two applications that permit me to record on the computer. My first attempts at recording a poem, Ukrainian Crisis Voices, is encouraging. That attempt has raised several other research questions.
A third project for 2015, for January 2015, is to open a companion blog site where I will feature what I see as very interesting excerpts from my novel, Baggage Burdens. This monumental document, over 300,000 words, has taken me about five years of on again, off again efforts. I am well on my way through draft two, and I have a good start through draft three too.
